Youth Development

Welcome…

At Star Hill we believe that children are important and the Youth Development focus area is our effort to put that belief into action. Designed to focus on young people between the ages of 3-18. Youth Development is structured to support and partner with parents to equip children and youth with the foundation, skills, relationships and resources to be positive and contributing members of the community. We do this by first providing information and support to parents. We believe that the well-being of children is first and foremost a parents’ responsibility – our job is to help.  Second, we provide a number of ministry opportunities, classes, activities and events all focused on the strengthening and development of our young people. Examples of these include 60 Minutes classes, male and female mentoring programs, a Children’s Community Choir, Hallelujah Night,  a number of creative arts, Worship on Wednesdays ( WOW), and more service opportunities than you can imagine.

Our vision is a simple one; to transform the lives of young people to make a difference in their world. It takes a lot to develop young people who are strong, bold and self-controlled. The challenges they face every day require our faith and works to be more resilient than ever. We are convinced that our children and youth are important parts of changing things and the Star Hill family is committed to doing whatever it takes…

But whatever we do, it is intended to support parents not replace them. This concept is really important in understanding our Youth Development focus area. God did not intend for the church to be responsible for rearing children. That’s a parents’ job. We are always a support and partner in this important effort. Whatever we do, it is to assist your family in having all that is needed to ensure that your youth has a more fulfilled and positive future. For additional information, contact
