Swimming lessons deadline: In partnership with Crawfish Aquatics (7150 Bluebonnet Blvd.), swimming lessons will be offered Monday, June 19, through Thursday, June 29, at its facility to our children ages 3-12 who are active in Midweek Bible Study and/or 60 Minutes. Let’s Go, Canada! A mandatory meeting for those that are going on the trip to Canada will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 30.  This will be the final meeting prior to departure. It is imperative that ALL be in attendance. The purpose of this meeting is to ensure all documents have been completed and to give guidance on preparing to go on the trip.


Talent Extravaganza: The next Talent Extravaganza will be 9:30 a.m. Sunday, July 30, in the Fellowship Hall.  Parents, relatives and friends are invited to come support, encourage and show your love for our kids.


Paul’s Prison Epistles: Please join us for a study of Paul’s Prison Epistles – the books of Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians and Philemon. We are serving our time in the conference room. You are invited to join us.


Servant(s) needed: Transportation driver(s) needed for celebration services on Sundays.

“Good job!” “Gimme five!” “Awesome!” “Wow!” “Way to go!” “Super!” The 60 Minutes staff is so proud of our participants from the Preschool, Primary, Junior and Teens classes for a job well done during our first Talent Extravaganza. A BIG CONGRATS goes to winners Spencer Thrower, Joseph Davis, Madeline Bryant and Olivia Bryant of the Primary class; these participants recited all  66 Books of the Bible.

Summer Academy 2017 application deadline:   The Young Leaders’ Academy of Baton Rouge will take applications through noon Friday for its six-week Summer Academy 2017, set for June 5 to July 13 from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays at St. Luke’s Episcopal Middle School (8833 Goodwood Blvd.)  It will include academic programs in the morning and enrichment in the afternoon, including Power Wednesdays, black history, field trips, intramural sports, anger management/conflict resolution for boys in grades 3-7.  Forty slots are available. A $125 deposit is required with the application, with a total cost of $250; however, scholarships are available for families affected by the August flood. Please contact Tonya G.
